About Us

What is MOCARPS?

Mobile Learning Platform for Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy Placement Survival (MOCARPS) is a project aiming to improve student learning in cardiopulmonary physiotherapy and clinical placement performance by:

  1. Solving students’ learning difficulties through real-time digital learning support
  2. Training students’ hands-on skills through problem-based learning approach and flipped classroom approach

Clinical placement is a crucial part in physiotherapy education. Through clinical placement, students can apply the theory and skills that they have learned from university classroom into real-life practice in clinical settings. They can also gain more valuable hands-on experience and on-the-spot training of clinical reasoning through bedside practice.

However, clinical placement could be challenging to students. Despite students are well equipped with knowledge and skills from university learning, they feel stressed, nervous and lack of self-confidence when facing patients’ time-to-time conditional changes and working in unfamiliar clinical environment.

Our Missions

Thereby, this project integrates online learning, flipped classroom and real-time on-the-spot e-solution platform to provide a comprehensive learning solution to solve students’ learning difficulties and optimize their learning experience on the following outcomes:

  1. Enhancing students’ key knowledge and skills required for clinical placement – clinical reasoning, communication, and problem-solving skills
  2. Facilitating students to remember, understand, analyze the case management
  3. Boosting students’ confidence in clinical placement
